“Vande Bharat makes 100 times less noise inside the train, as compared to an airplane... People who are utilized to travelling on flights will certainly prefer the Vande Bharat educate once they get to experience it”, news agency ANI quoted PM Modi as saying.
"Gandhinagar-Ahmedabad is a great example of how a twin city develops. Following the same model, various twin cities are being developed in Gujarat. People accustomed to talk about New York-New Jersey till now. My India cannot be left behind, " he added.
During his speech in Ahmedabad PM Modi also urged the students of classes 9-12 and from engineering backgrounds to ask how metro work's been done, the cost incurred and the construction of tunnels, stating that “it'll make them accountable”.

them accountable; they'll not take part in any protest to destroy public
property. It'll pain them like their own property is being damaged”, ANI cited
PM Modi as stating.
PM Modi on Friday inaugurated Phase I of the
Ahmedabad Metro rail project. He traveled onboard the Vande Bharat Express train
coming from Gandhinagar to Ahmedabad where he inaugurated Phase I of the
Ahmedabad Metro rail project. PM HOURS Modi, accompanied by CM Bhupendra Patel,
also traveled on Ahmedabad metro rail by Kalupur station to Doordarshan Kendra
station.
The new Vande Bharat Express train can run between Gandhinagar
and Mumbai. The train is going to connect the state capitals of Gujarat and
Maharashtra and will run 6 days a week, except Sunday.
